Adrian Jackson is very highly regarded both in the UK and abroad as one of the leading conductors and musical supervisors in his field. He received a predominantly classical musical training, where his principal studies were trombone and conducting.
Adrian is a founder Director of The City Concert Organisation and CCO Theatrical and has been responsible for many theatrical and concert productions worldwide.
Internationally, he has worked with many renowned orchestras and has appeared in prestigious venues that include the International Festival of Music at the Musikapelle in Innsbruck, Austria.
Adrian is the Musical Director and Principal Conductor of the acclaimed City Concert Orchestra and has performed with them in concert venues throughout the UK. He is also the founder and Musical Director of the Midland Symphony Choir.
Concert appearances have included: “The Musicals” and “The Music Of The Night” with David Jacobs, “Musicals and Movies” with Matthew Kelly, “Hollywood & the Musicals” with presenters including Sir Terry Wogan, Fiona Phillips, Angela Rippon, Rosemary Ford and Elaine C Smith, and “The Best Of West End & Broadway” with Celebrity West End Artistes, presented by Lisa Riley, William Roache and Kaye Adams.
Adrian’s West End theatre credits are numerous; he was Musical Director of “A Celebration Of Musical Theatre” at the Palace Theatre, London, where he worked with, amongst others: Darren Day, Nicholas Parsons, Anneka Rice, Patrick Anthony and Roy Walker, and he has been guest Conductor at the Royal Albert Hall on many occasions.
Adrian has worked with some of the country’s most prestigious Symphony Orchestras including: The Orchestra Of Scottish Opera, The BBC Concert Orchestra and The Hallé Orchestra.
He continues to work closely with the writers of Les Misérables, Miss Saigon and Martin Guerre, and was the first conductor to perform pieces from Alain Boublil & Claude Michel Schönberg’s The Pirate Queen, which premiered at the Cadillac Palace Theatre, Chicago, USA, prior to transferring to Broadway earlier this year.
Adrian is an accomplished musical arranger and has made numerous recordings for UK record labels. He is constantly in demand as a Musical Supervisor and has worked extensively for the BBC, Classic Records and EMI.
He is a very successful producer and artistic director in his own right and has been responsible for many high profile concerts and theatrical productions in venues throughout the UK.
On radio, Adrian presented the popular weekly musical theatre programme “Showstoppers” at Saga 105.7fm, which ran for more than three years to top ratings, and until recently, he could be heard every Friday presenting the evening show at Smooth FM.
